Language Arts

Decoding and comprehension skills with grade level books, whole group, small group, and individual reading, writing process, writing complete sentences and paragraphs, oral expression, listening skills, spelling, end punctuation and commas, parts of speech (nouns, verbs, adjectives), present and past tense of verbs, research skills (taking notes and summarizing), capitalization

Science

The Science program has a "hands- on" approach in which children study topics in physical, e arth, and life sciences. There's a focus on building students' vocabulary in English and exposing children to scientific inquiry.  Our focus will be the Atmosphere

Students will be assessed through observation, rubrics, worksheets, notebooks, projects/reports, tests, and quizzes.
